If you are a Compulife subscriber using Compulife on a PDA, you can win a FREE year of Compulife.
The following three prizes are being offered in this contest: 1. 12 free months of Compulife 2. 6 free months of Compulife 3. 6 free months of Compulife Prizes will be drawn and awarded on August 1st. To enter this contest you need to post a reply to this posting telling us a story about your use of Compulife on your PDA. We are specifically looking for stories explaining how Compulife on your PDA helped you make a sale (no names of your clients please). At the end of July we will select the 10 best stories if there are more than 10 stories posted. From the selected group of 10 stories, prizes will be randomly awarded based upon a draw. The 10 qualifying names will be put into a hat and selected by Bob Barney's wife Pat. Winners will have the subscription time added to their existing subscription with Compulife. NOTE: If the number of qualifying entries exceeds 50, we will double the number of prizes and double the drawing to the top 20 stories. The contest is open to ALL Compulife subscribers, regardless of whether you have given Compulife a previous PDA testimonial. If you have previously posted or provided a PDA sales story, feel free to cut and paste that and place it into this message thread. Stories NOT posted to this thread will not be eligible for prizes. You can post more than one story. Please make sure your story is true. All entrants must be willing to have their postings appear in the PDA testimonials section on the Compulife web site. Winning entrants must be current subscribers to Compulife. The contest is also open to trial use subscribers who are using Compulife in conjunction with the "Dare to Compare Challenge". If you do not have a PDA, Compulife subscribers may purchase a used Palm PDA package from Compulife on a 30 day net basis (entire package prices start at $99). We will invoice you and ship you the Palm which you do not pay for for 30 days. If you decide you do not want the PDA you can return it for a full credit. NOTE: Compulife now provides subscribers with FREE promotional buttons to assist them with prospecting for business using a PDA. Call Compulife at 800-798-3488 to request your FREE button. Here is an image of the button: The concept is simple. Wear your button and carry the PDA with you. When someone asks, "What's that?", you simply say "Let me show you". Take out your PDA and run them a quote. ALSO NOTE: Stories related to PDA insurance sales as a result of the use of the button will be highly desireable in the mind of the judges (Jeremiah and Bob). Good Luck! |

I am primarily a health insurance agent in California but find that the few term policies I write each year justified the expense for Compulife. It doesn't hurt that about once a year I receive a "slam dunk" from Term 4 Sale which more than covers the cost for a decade of use.
About 2 months ago I decided to buy a PDA along with renewing my compulife subscription. This was not really to quote on the road, but to join the 21st century and try to go electronic with my schedule and contact list. I soon received a request from a health insurance client (HSA are my speciality) for some additional term coverage for he and his wife. I did what he asked and then (via email) gave him quotes on replacing everything. So, by being able to quickly run quotes, I could save him money overall, and about double my commission. When I met with he and his wife, I brought my PDA with the rates in place. While discussing the options and just about to take the application, I got the idea to look into a 30 year ROP plan for each of them. Because of the PDA I was able to show them the options of ROP, and they decided that was the way to go. So, originally my commissions were to be about $300. When I showed him that replacing everything would be better, I upped my commission to about $650. When I arrived at the house with my PDA and used it to run on the spot rate quotes, his purchase increased my commissions to almost $1,800! Technology is fun! Oh yeah, I would have sold more if I wore the PDA button. __________________

I am not a computer guru by any stretch of the mind but I tried the pda thing anyway. I think this is the greatest idea, now I don't have to fumble around with rate cards anymore I just put in the info and bam. The first deal I worked on I went into one of my realestate buddies office just to show the stuff off. We were both surprised when we came up with a rate that was better than what he had bought the previous year from me. So to save him money and extend his term he went with the new program making me more commission and getting him a better deal.

I didn't use my PDA to make a personal sale. I have been using it as a recruiting tool and offering agents the opportunity to get the Complife software free by contracting through us and producing business. Have two new agents submitting business.

If you are contracting agents and offering Compulife as an incentive/bonus program, I'd like to talk to you about how to get PDA's into the hands of agents who do not have them. Give me a call for volume discount prices on the PDA's and/or some FREE draw incentives.
The sooner agents get their hands on these things, the quicker they will be making money with them. Bob 888-798-3488 |

I had a meeting on a Friday afternoon two weeks ago with a husband/wife who just opened a franchise restoration service. I always like to keep first meetings on the casual side. We met over a few beers and in the course of our discussion they mentioned they had just met with a financial planner. This planner was "teaching" them on why whole life was such a great return on their money. Not knowing how low cost term is, I pulled out my Palm and ran some numbers. Since they had sunk so much into the business and needed cash flow, whole life, whether you like it or not, was a bad move at this time.
They were amazed at the cost and I'm working on two apps. in underwriting as of last week. For a lot of years now, thanks Compulife. Robert Adler Charlotte, NC |

Compulife is a great tool, I have used it for appx. 15 years now, (since the days I could make it "sit up and bark" in DOS). Brokers cannot go wrong using this great program. -Kent Jacobson
