Default 6th quietest sun in 100 years

We have now had 201 days this year, without sun spots. This is the 6th quietest year in the century and we still have over 100 days left to go.

We were on track to break the longest stretch of spotless days, when a teenie tiny spot appeared, and lasted a whole day. That ended the last streak at 58. We are now 8 days without a spot.

Folks, this winter is going to be COLD.

And next summer, colder than this summer.

How's that global warming thing working out for you?

Found this new web site, about the global warming hoax, and it's like a Drudgereport that focuses on the climate:

http://climatedepot.com/

Check it out, all the dissenting stories agregated in one place.

Global warming is just like the current administration - a myth and a hoax. The only thing warm is the hot air being expelled. And the hoax is being used by hucksters to stick their hands in our pockets.

Default "It's the sun, stupid!"

The following is from this article:

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/cap...ve_on_glo.html
(4) Solar Issue: Look for this issue to get bigger. Our sun is currently becoming very quiet. Not only is the number of sunspots falling dramatically, but the intensity of the sunspots is weakening. The coincident timing of major solar minimums with cooler global temperatures (such as during the Little Ice Age) suggests that maybe the sun is underestimated as a component for influencing climate. The second half of the twentieth century (when we saw lots of warming) was during a major solar maximum period- which is now ending. Total solar irradiance has been steady or sinking similar to our global temperatures over much of this past decade. Indeed, recent research has suggested the solar factor is underestimated (here and here). Perhaps one day, we'll have a different version of James Carville's famous political quote...something like "It's the sun, stupid!"
Note that the author of this article is a meteorologist and that he is writing with, concern for his job. Here is his first paragraph:
"This Capital Weather Gang blog entry is written with considerable trepidation given the politically-charged atmosphere surrounding human-induced global warming.

Here is another one for Jen to bury:

Apparently the UN believes we will have global warming, after it cools off.

Default The Comining Ice Age

In 1977 Leonard Nimoy (Spock of Star Trek) narrated a dramatic documentary on the coming ice age. If you scroll down this article, the 1/2 hour documentary is available in 3 pieces part way down.

Watch it and think about the Global Warming alarmists:

As I have posted, our quiet sun, which is setting spotless records over a century old, is now cooling the earth. And the reason temperatures had been rising was not due to man's activities, it was due to a hyperactive sun, which is now very inactive.

This in on the coming winter:

Look for lots of cold records to be snapped this year.

Cap and Trade is just crap and tax.

This article from July, explaining suspot activity, and the lack thereof:

Note that we have now had 220 spotless days in 2009, and about 80 days in the year to go.

http://www.naplesnews.com/blogs/veri...ct/10/whither/

In fact, when the world temperature data utilized by the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) – the United Nations body that brought us the global warming scare - were independently analyzed by biologist Dr. Jennifer Marohasy, results confirmed that during the decade from 1998-2008 “temperatures have actually been coming down.” Moreover, Rajendra Pachauri, head of the IPCC, observed that “2008 [was] the coolest year since 2000.” That's right, your eyes were not playing tricks on you, “2008 [was] the coolest year since 2000.”

Default Global blushing

http://network.nationalpost.com/np/b...-blushing.aspx

"This week, the doomsters were embarrassed to learn, once again, that the planet was not in grave peril. "

"The latest news from the Arctic — delivered daily via satellite — is no better. Two years ago with the Arctic ice in rapid retreat, the doomsters, convinced of the coming of an ice-free Arctic, could scarcely contain themselves. Now, with the Arctic ice in rapid return, their anticipation of disaster seems more a cruel hoax of Nature. The doomsters now dread to track the satellite data beamed down to us courtesy of the International Arctic Research Center and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency — you can see why they cringe each day by going to the satellite website and following the red line:
